As a small business marketing consultant I have seen in the past clients who implement their own marketing strategies that don’t work get discouraged. If a campaign doesn’t work for any given reason, don’t be discouraged this is part of the marketing world and will lead you to a path that does work for your business. It will also give you a great way to make sound marketing decisions in the future from the knowledge you have received in that campaign that didn’t work.

Remember, a marketing campaign that gets implemented will always teach you something. It will teach you what your audience responds to and what they don’t respond to. It will tell you what your target audience like about your business and what they don’t. So, having a marketing plan no matter the return is better than none at all because it means you're directing your small business marketing efforts in a way that betters your business in the long run with invaluable information.

Remember mounting an effective marketing campaign lies in solid research, choosing multiple touch point instead of putting money into one large campaign, monitoring and amending campaign activities throughout and always capitalising on any leads to ensure you are always bringing in new clientele and any Melbourne marketing consultant will tell you the same thing.
